The Enlisted Memorial Foundation's mission is to raise funds to build a Memorial to honor enlisted Coast Guard members who lost their lives in the line of duty.  The memorial will be located at Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, the Coast Guard's sole accession point for the enlisted corps.  It will provide a place for enlisted Coast Guard cadets to learn about the sacrifice of those who came before and provide the public a place to pay respect to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for their service and country.

About the Memorial.

Our Vision.

Help us in honoring those who have paid the price for our freedom. The Coast Guard Enlisted Memorial Foundation is gathering donations to build a memorial in recognition of the over 1400 Coast Guardsmen who have given their lives in the performance of duty. The memorial is planned for construction on the grounds of Training Center Cape May, NJ, the current birthplace of the service's enlisted corps. Along with the physical memorial the foundation will maintain this electronic memorial which is constantly being expanded with further background information, photos, and historical records. The Foundation is a non-profit registered with the State of New Jersey (EIN 45-3144610).

The Coast Guard Enlisted Memorial is planned for the grounds of Training Center Cape May, NJ, the current birthplace of the U.S. Coast Guard's enlisted corps. The site will be centered around three granite walls which identify by name the 1,400 Coast Guardsmen who have perished in the performance of duty. Names are included from 1915, the year the Revenue Cutter Service and U.S. Life Saving Service were merged and Congress formalized the existence of the U.S. Coast Guard. Marble benches provided for mourning and reflection will face these walls. Also central to the site is a flagpole surrounded by plaques emblazoned with the emblems of those services which acted as precursors to the modern Coast Guard. A brass ship's bell held in a marble enclosure will be located at the front of the site for use during ceremonies. Sponsor plaques listing those who provided substantial donations and support will be also included and positioned along the perimeter of the site. The entire memorial will be illuminated by in-ground lights.
